
Eastern Appam Powder is an authentic south Indian cooking staple. This blend of sweet rice and lentil flour is used to make the South Indian delicacy 'appam'. Eastern Appam Powder is used for all stages of cooking: adding it directly to flour for a natural yeast culture starter, adding it to yogurt or buttermilk as regular leavening or steaming the batter directly in a multi-layered pot called a 'kuzhi' (or colander)
